Inspired by true events, LADYSHIP tells the story of unjustly convicted teenage sisters and their harrowing story on a female convict ship. With a haunting, folk-inspired score, layered with the signature alt-rock edge of The Twigs (Laura Good and Linda Good), LADYSHIP pulses with youthful rebellion and raw emotion.

Irish sisters Alice and Mary are sentenced to seven years transportation to Australia for petty theft in 1789. Thrown into an overcrowded prison and chained in the dark belly of a ship, they – and dozens of other women – face brutal conditions, predatory officers, and the crushing weight of a system designed to silence them. Yet in the face of injustice, these young women refuse to be broken. Across a grueling ten-month voyage, bonds of sisterhood are forged, love unexpectedly blooms, and courage is born from desperation. By the time they reach the new shore, each woman has discovered a power no judge, captain, or empire can take away: her own voice.
